About

I am Rebecca Mazzocchi, an environmental writer, researcher, and nature photographer with a lifelong passion for animals and wild places. With a background in environmental studies and English literature, I aim to bring both critical insight and curiosity to the way we understand the natural world.
My work explores themes like biodiversity loss, human-wildlife coexistence, and conservation ethics. I am especially drawn to the quiet intersections between science, storytelling, and emotion, where connection can begin.
Photography is a way of seeing. It is a slow and attentive practice that encourages me to look closely, to notice, and to care. Whether it is a fleeting encounter with an animal or the texture of a forest floor, I hope my photos reflect not only beauty, but also presence.
The Wolf’s Lens is where I share these moments. Through words and images, I hope to invite others to pause, to wonder, and to feel more connected to the living world.
